The Walkman allowed travelers, joggers and others to transport their favorite music and recorded sound with them wherever they went. We all remember the 80s craze with the walkman. This was a portable casstte player which allowed one to travel anywhere with their music. Things have since changed since the 1980s. The walkman, which was popularized by Sony, allowed music addicts to traverse the globe with their favorite music in the form of cassettes. This device required an endless stream of batteries. Then technology advanced and the walkman met its nemesis. This was in the form of the Discman. Sony, together with Phillips electronics were the brains behind this switch.
